Ready to enjoy a full day walking tour of Istanbul right after having your open buffet Turkish breakfast? Continue to 17th century Ottoman Mosque Sultanahmet with its six minarets touching to skies also known as Blue Mosque by non-muslims due to its blue Iznik tiles within. Right across the Blue mosque we will visit legendary monument of Byzantine era the, St.Sophia Mosque from outside with exterior narration( no inner visit). Lunch in a Turkish Restaurant and afterwards we will pay a visit to Topkapi Palace ( closed on Tuesdays) and finish our day wandering the labyrinth streets of Grand Bazaar (closed on Sundays). Breakfast at the hotel and meet your guide and join the small group tour. We will commence today by visiting the Spice Market which is located in Eminonu district near to pier. Continue to pier/port and board the boat and sail over the Bosphorus that connects Marmara and Black Sea known as Bosphorus Strait. There are 3 bridges over the Bosphorus that connect Europe and Asia sides of the city and we will be passing under two of them. Our tour finish in the noon time back in your hotel and you are free to explore city self-guided until your transfer to airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Flight to Cappadocia in the afternoon and overnight in Cappadocia. *We prefer to start Cappadocia part this day to make the most of your time in Cappadocia and avoid to waking up very early (at about 4 am) on the following day for flight.
If you do not want to participate the balloon tour this morning, you can wake up around sun rise and watch the balloons over the sky and take some nice pictures from the ground either from hotel terrace or any panorama point. Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the 1st day excursion of Cappadocia tours at 10h00 with our guide in small group and visit Devrent Valley, Monks Valley, Avanos(Vanessa), Pottery Workshop for enjoying demonstrations by a master on a Hittite style kick wheel, Goreme Open Air Museum. Lunch will served in a local Turkish Restaurant. At the end of the day drop off to your hotel and free evening on your own where you spend some time in this tiny Anatolian town full of history. To make the most of your stay with our Istanbul and Cappadocia tour, every morning at dawn balloons are flying over Cappadocia. You can join our optional Hot Air Balloon Tour offered with additional cost in our Cappadocia tours that enables you to admire sites and mushroom shaped chimneys of Cappadocia with stunning panorama of the Goreme, Uchisar, Avanos and surrounding area with a bird’s eye view. Return will be around 07h30 back to our hotel depending on the season time change and we will have enough time to have a quick shower and breakfast. You can pack up your luggages and leave them in the reception.Departure from the hotel and start our day trip with a 3 km hiking in red valley. You would leave no stone unturned on this journey through Cappadocia. During this slow paced hiking, you will have a chance to see many hidden cave dwellings and natural formations while ending up our trail in Cavusin Village where you can picture the oldest church in the region dedicated to St.John. Lunch in a local restaurant and continue paying a visit to underground city of Kaymakli which is considered as the architectural masterpieces of Hittite people dug in the ground almost 3000 years ago. We will see their ventilation shafts, round stone doors for protection from enemy attacks, winery and much more. Photo and Tea break in panoramic point over pigeon valley. Returning our hotels and pick up our luggages and continue to airport for our flight back to Istanbul at 19h40. Arrival in Istanbul airport at about 21 pm. End our services. *We have catered this trip for those traveling back to their country or some other destination early in the morning after midnight. If you want to stay longer, then we can add hotel in Istanbul and airport transfer as well.
